On November 30, 2016, the permanent venue of the East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform was settled at Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition in West Coast New Area, Qingdao.

Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition is a comprehensive exhibition and exchange platform with the theme of marine cooperation. The project is centered around conventions and exhibitions, and plans to build eight major centers including the Maritime Silk Road International Exhibition Center, the Convention and Exhibition Business Support Center, the Coastal Leisure and Health Center, the International Culture and Art Exchange Center and the Coastal Forest Park Sports Center.
