"Run an event and invigorate a city." The 2019 East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform Qingdao Forum opened on September 5 at Qingdao West Coast New Area. It is hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Shandong Provincial People's Government, organized by Qingdao Municipal People's Government, and executed by Administrative Committee of Qingdao West Coast New Area. Themed with "Towards Greater Openness and Connectivity", composed of seven major events, namely “One main forum, five sub-forums and one exhibition”. One main forum is the opening ceremony and the summit forum; five sub-forums including China Pilot Free Trade Zone Building and East Asia Marine Cooperation Forum, East Asia Seaport Alliance Conference, International Marine Fisheries Development Forum, East Asia Marine Environment Cooperation Forum, East Asia Marine Culture and Tourism Development Forum; one exhibition is East Asia Marine Expo. Nearly 400 guests from China, Japan, South Korea, ASEAN, Europe, Americas, Africa and other countries and regions attended the opening ceremony, including marine field experts, economists, artists and entrepreneurs, jointly deepen exchanges and cooperation in marine economy, science and technology, humanities, environmental protection and other fields; released the East Asia Marine Cooperative Research Report (2019); and 10 key marine economic projects with a total investment of 37.3 billion yuan were signed and settled in Qingdao West Coast New Area.
