Matchmaking Meeting for the Commercialization of Marine Science and Technology Achievements on Innovation and Development of Emerging Industries with Marine Characteristics were held in Qingdao West Coast New Area

The event was hosted by Shandong Marine Scientific and Technological Achievements Transfer and Commercialization Center (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Community). With the theme of "Building a Platform for Transformation of Marine Scientific and Technological Achievements and Opening up the Last Mile of Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements", more than 110 people from more than 60 sea-related colleges and universities, scientific research institutions, enterprises inside and outside the province and government departments of coastal cities in the province were invited to attend the meeting.



At the matchmaking meeting, 5 items on the top list, 100 marine scientific and technological achievements and 35 scientific research needs of sea-related enterprises were released at Shandong Marine Scientific and Technological Achievements Transfer and Commercialization Center. Eight marine scientific and technological achievements transformation projects were signed on site, and five marine scientific and technological projects were displayed on site.





Bao Zhenmin, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Director of Key Laboratory of Marine Biological Genetics and Breeding of the Ministry of Education of Ocean University of China, Qin Song, Deputy Director of Institute of Coastal Zone, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dong Junyu, Director of Information Science and Engineering Department of Ocean University of China, Zhang Donghua, Executive Director of Marine Biomedical Research Institute of Qingdao and Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of School of Medicine and Pharmacy of Ocean University of China, and other four marine industry experts were invited to give keynote speeches at the forum.


The center is the first batch of innovation and entrepreneurship communities recognized in our province. Focusing on five emerging industries with marine characteristics, namely, marine information technology, marine biomedicine, marine clean energy, seawater resource utilization and marine carbon sink, it has built a major innovation consortium integrating key common technologies of marine industry, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, incubation and listing cultivation of scientific and technological enterprises, training and introduction of high-end talents, and promotion of industrial clusters, and a national marine science and technology innovation highland.
