In the afternoon of June 28, 2023 Marine Brand and Industry Empowerment Forum was held with the theme of "Shaping Marine Brand and Leading Marine Consumption". Experts and scholars from the fields of marine economy and marine brand and marine enterprises made a discussion.

At the forum, China Brand Magazine· Marine Industry Brand Research Center was established, and the Research Report on Brand Empowering High-quality Development of Marine Economy-Strategic Practice of Marine Brand in Qingdao West Coast New Area was released.

Qingdao West Coast New Area attached great importance to the cultivation of marine brands. In 2022, it released "Linglang Baxian", the first regional public brand of marine fishery in the province, and unveiled the "Ocean Decade" International Cooperation Center at the beginning of this year.

At the forum, more than a dozen domestic and foreign experts and scholars from China Council for Brand Development, China Fisheries Association, Peking University and Tsinghua University gave wonderful speeches.

Liu Pingjun, Chairman of the Advisory Group of the Brand Evaluation Technical Committee of the International Organization for Standardization and Chairman of the China Council for Brand Development, pointed out that the marine economy would become a huge industrial economy after the land economy and the mountain economy, and would become the economic lifeline of the sustainable development of all mankind. Zhao Xingwu, President of China Fisheries Association, proposed to strengthen the construction of marine pastures, cultivate the sea, animal husbandry and fisheries, and build marine granaries. We need food from both the land and the sea, and need to conserve the offshore, develop the deep sea, move towards the distant sea, develop continuously and ensure the supply.

The successful holding of the forum will activate the efficiency of marine economy and provide a steady stream of power for the sustainable development of Qingdao's marine economy.
