Shenzhen Chasing-Innovation’s Intelligent Underwater Robot Project Achieved Accurate Matchmaking with the Enterprises, Institutions, and Associations of Qingdao West Coast New Area

Since this year, the East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform has further improved its functions to give full play to its spillover effect. As the first project implemented in Qingdao West Coast New Area of the 2021 Global Marine Tech Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest, on December 20, the Shenzhen Chasing-Innovation’s Intelligent Underwater Robot Project held a matchmaking event in Luhaifeng Marine Ranch.


Sponsored by Qingdao West Coast New Area Marine Development Bureau and undertaken by the Fishery Association of Qingdao Huangdao District and Qingdao West Coast New Area Marine Industry Promotion Association, the event aims to gather innovative elements, realize resource integration, and promote the intelligent development of fishery in Qingdao West Coast New Area.  


 
Zhao Yingmin, Party Branch Secretary of Qingdao West Coast New Area Marine Development Bureau, Li Guodong, Party Branch Member of Qingdao West Coast New Area Marine Development Bureau and Director of the Marine Development Center, as well as the relevant leaders from the Talent Recruitment Center and Association for Science and Technology of Qingdao West Coast New Area, attended the event. Marine ranch enterprises, marine research institutes, universities and colleges, and other interested parties in the Qingdao West Coast New Area were also invited.


 

At the event, Liu Yunfeng, President of the Fishery Association of Qingdao Huangdao District, first introduced the basic situation of the marine fishery in the New Area and then stated, “under the correct guidance of leaders at all levels, fishery in the New Area progresses with each passing day, with breeding technologies constantly innovating and marine ranches showing full vitality. Next, fishery enterprises in the New Area will further transform their business ideas to focus on digitalization and intelligence and improve the core competitiveness, thus promoting the leap development of fishery in the New Area.”

Later, Shenzhen Chasing-Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. introduced its intelligent underwater robot products.


 

 
The attendees observed and experienced the portable underwater intelligent equipment and had in-depth discussions with the project owner on the application and promotion of them.  
 

 
At the end of the event, Zhao Yingmin, Party Branch Secretary of Qingdao West Coast New Area Marine Development Bureau made a summary speech. He emphasized, “accelerating the construction of intelligent fishery is an inherent requirement for the efficient development of the industry and a powerful measure to follow the trend of industrial development and lead the fishery development. The “Portable Waters Intelligent Unmanned Equipment” of Shenzhen Chasing-Innovation has transferred the traditional aquaculture operation scenarios to the mobile phone cloud, which is not only an evolution of the traditional industry but also a driver of fishery modernization.”

“I hope that this event can empower the application and promotion of the underwater intelligent equipment and lay a foundation for the efficient cooperation across disciplines and industries.  Relevant organizations shall constantly explore new models, integrate technology introduction, scenario openness, and policy encouragement, give full play to their respective roles, and make precise efforts to boost the sustainable development of the marine undertakings in the New Area.”

The Executive Committee of Qingdao Forum also sent an invitation letter of the 6th East Asia Ocean Cooperation Platform Qingdao Forum to Zhang Xun, President of Shenzhen Chasing-Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., inviting him to attend the 6th Qingdao Forum and the Marine Expo together with his team.


As the place where the headquarters of the East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform is based, Qingdao West Coast New Area undertakes the important mission of promoting the development of the marine economy. The Maine Economy Strategy Implementation Plan of Qingdao West Coast New Area takes the development of modern fishery as an important way to improve the gross marine product, advocating the transformation and upgrading of the traditional fishery and encouraging to promote the high-quality development across the whole chain from multiple dimensions with intelligence as a guide. This intelligent fishery event is a positive practice of this goal

Accelerating the construction of intelligent fishery is an inherent requirement for the efficient development of the industry and a powerful measure to follow the trend of industrial development and lead the fishery development. We hope that advanced technologies such as AI and IoT can be effectively combined with fishery to bring strong impetus to fishery development of Qingdao West Coast New Area. Additionally, we welcome more powerful science and technology enterprises to settle down in the New Area and jointly open a new chapter of the fishery industry with the existing fishing enterprises.

It has won more than 50 awards at all levels at home and abroad and is known as the "best underwater UAV".
