Since its launch in May this year, the Marine Tech Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest of the 6th East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform Qingdao Forum has attracted more than 150 domestic and foreign high-quality projects in the field of marine science and technology. After fierce competitions in Ningbo Global Virtual Contest, Shanghai Contest, and Shenzhen Contest, the top 12 projects got to the finals of the Qingdao Forum held in 2022.

The Executive Committee of Qingdao Forum increased efforts in the overall planning, coordinated the Association for Science and Technology of Qingdao West Coast New Area, the Talent Center of Qingdao West Coast New Area, and Qingdao West Coast Talent Ecological Industry Group to provide accurate services for the projects, and was involved in the whole process of the contest. The Executive Committee, together with the relevant departments, paid several field visits to the locations of the top 12 projects, entered the enterprises to introduce the advantages of the New Area concerning marine industrial policies and better environment for doing business, and invited enterprises with high-quality projects to visit the New Area, so as to facilitate the settle-down of projects in the headquarters of the Platform (Qingdao West Coast New Area).
Recently, Chasing-Innovation Technology Co.,Ltd., headquartered in Shenzhen, has paid a return visit to the New Area to discuss matters relating to the implementation of the portable underwater smart unmanned equipment project. Driven by the Marine Development Bureau of Qingdao West Coast New Area, it only took 3 working days from the final negotiation to the registration of this project, which reflected the high speed and efficiency of the New Area’s efforts and became the first high-end marine project of the Marine Tech Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest that settled down.
